Autumn 2007 - supercharger kit now available - £4,000 + VAT
Our kit comprises the supercharger, manifold, pistons, rods, charge cooler, piping and belts. It does not include the ECU, injectors *, or installation.

* If you are running on a standard fuel system, a set of four high-flow injectors can be supplied for an extra £280 + VAT.

Yes, the Turbo Technics supercharged Elise is staggeringly quick, but power is nothing without control. A new advanced design of supercharger mated to the K-series engine delivers up to an amazing 215bhp, giving the Elise the potential is deserves. The smooth yet instant power delivery complements the Elise, inviting the driver to work that superb Lotus chassis and explore the limits of adhesion - in total control.

The Supercharged Elise, launched in 1999, was the result of over two years engineering research and development by Turbo Technics. This is not a "bolt-on kit" but a thoroughly integrated engine conversion, which will delight any Elise owner and demonstrate how to make an impressive car even better.

The design brief

  • Achieve a maximum power to weight ratio of 230bhp/tonne, but avoid the drawbacks of traditional tuning methods.

  • Ensure quick throttle response to give maximum driver enjoyment and safety.

  • Minimise additional weight by employing the latest materials and in-house designed aluminium castings.

  • Ensure service accessibility and durability over high mileage, but avoid specialist maintenance requirements

The solution

Rejecting the simple bolt-on approach often seen in modified engines, Turbo Technics use a new design of centrifugal supercharger for the supercharged Elise. Although it is belt driven, the unit avoids the heavy power losses associated with traditional superchargers. In the spirit of the Elise concept, the Turbo Technics manufactured Geotec supercharger is lightweight and compact. As such, it is mounted within the existing engine bay without compromising luggage space.

Servicing and warranty

  • Low in maintenance, the engine and supercharger require no specialist servicing.

  • The supercharger bearings are lubricated by oil direct from the engine

  • Standard grade Shell Helix Plus engine oil is used.

  • Supercharger drive is transmitted via a longlife poly-vee belt with integral tensioner.

  • Runs on standard Unleaded 95 RON fuel.

  • Peace of mind with Turbo Technics one-year 12,000 mile warranty on kit parts.

Important notes:

1. Turbo Technics supercharger conversions cannot be fitted to cars equipped with factory air conditioning unless the air conditioning pump and radiator are removed upon the supercharger installation.

2. No suspension or brake upgrades are necessary assuming the standard items are well maintained. However, for prolonged track use Turbo Technics recommends an upgraded brake pad material.

3. Before commencing, customers are advised to check their insurance company for additional policy cover required. Turbo Technics have no preferred insurance companies or special policy deals - our advice is to shop around first, as prices can vary dramatically!
