  TURBO TECHNICS LIMITED

VSR Mk3 Turbocharger Balancing Machine

Touch-screen operation

All the information need by the operator is displayed on a bright clear touch-screen.

As air is introduced, the turbocharger spins creating a vibration signature displayed as a graph. Rotational speed (displayed via an incremental rev/min scale) is plotted horizontally, with vibration measured in G.Pk vertically.

Different colours are used to display vibration levels:
White below 1.0, Green 1.0 - 2.0, Yellow 2.0 - 3.0 and Red above 3.0 G.pk

A clock face in the top left corner registers the position of imbalance, depending upon where the red vertical cursor is placed. The exact angle is also display in degrees. The cursor is moved by simply touching any point  along the plotted graph. The cursor may also be traversed to the left and right using the red button in the lower part of the screen.

Also displayed at the top of the screen is G.Pk and speed (wherever the cursor is placed) and maximum speed achieved during the test.

Oil flow through the turbocharger is displayed as m/l per second.

All information displayed is available on screen during and after the air is closed and turbo rotation ceases. In operation, only a few second of turbo rotation is required, greatly conserving compressed air consumption.

Screen data is printed directly from the VSR-3 machine. This record, which may be given to your customer, demonstrates correct and highly accurate VSR balancing has been achieved.

Full VSR balance data may be saved to memory or downloaded to a 3.5" floppy disk. This allows all turbo balance date to be stored indefinitely.
